Terms of Use

1. Ownership

OffBIM is developed and owned by Rita Baltasar. All intellectual property — including the tool, its underlying methodology, the IFC-to-STEP AP242 translation pipeline, the Manufacturing Information Requirements (MIR) framework, and the Technical-Process-Knowledge (TPK) framework — remains the exclusive property of Rita Baltasar.

2. Permitted Use

You may use OffBIM for legitimate professional and academic engineering purposes. Use of this tool does not transfer any intellectual property rights to the user.

3. Prohibited Use

You may not:

Reproduce, replicate or commercialise the methodology or tool
Reverse engineer the underlying pipeline
Use outputs to train AI models or develop competing tools
Represent the tool or its methods as your own work

4. Outputs

Files generated by OffBIM may be used for their intended engineering purpose. The tool and methodology that produced them remain proprietary.

5. Research and Citation

Academic use is welcomed. Any publications or presentations referencing results produced by OffBIM must cite the tool and its author appropriately.
